What will you gain?

The expected outcome is empowerment, education, and retention of you in the DeepLabCut community. For 2025, we will work closely with you on material for Hack-A-Thons, training, or Do-A-Thons (which are a hybrid between training and hackathons). The goal is to give back to the larger community by helping you to help your local community get involved in the behavioral analysis revolution.

While the core will have a focus on pose estimation, we will also cover “post-pose” behavioral analysis tools that we and others develop, such as AmadeusGPT!

What is the vision for 2025?

Welcome! This form is for you to express your interest in hosting a Do-A-Thon in Summer 2025. This year, we will take the DLC AI Residency on the Road, where individuals can apply to be an AI Resident and Host a DLC workshop, hackathon, or training seminar. 

Based on the success of prior AI Residencies and our experience with the FENS Cajal DLC training course, Our Core-Dev team will provide you materials, videos, and work one-on-one with you to help tailor material to make your event a hit! We envision these events are held for a single day, but multi-day events could also be supported.

Hosting such a workshop is a great opportunity to gain experience with event organization, teaching, and leadership -- all core principles that are useful for academia or beyond!
